Murton Park

Despite some hiccups and illnesses (which seems to have been very much school wide!), the children had a great time at Murton Park.

When they arrived, they had a talk from their Stone Age leader and were shown artefacts and were told stories about the topic they have spent so long studying. They demonstrated great subject knowledge and enthusiasm and then went outside to step into the Stone Age!

They studied artefacts, did some cave painting, made pots, ground grain into flour, weaved wool and went hunting for boar and deer. Then they finally finished with the story Otzi the Iceman from the Bronze Age.

You can see for yourself on these photos. Many thanks to those parents who volunteered and came on the trip. Don’t know how I could have done it without you!

See for yourself with these photos and hopefully, your children can tell you all about it.

Hope the children are well, rest this weekend, recover and I look forward to seeing them back in class with their usual smiles on Monday morning.
