This week we have decided to introduce a new activity for the children in our class. ‘The Silent Debate’!

This is where a question is posed to the children in the center of their large piece of paper and they then comment around it by writing in pen silently. Then, they move to other tables and comment, build on or challenge the other children’s comments, often using other’s ideas to grow their own.

It is a wonderful activity and they enjoyed being able to use it to discuss the big question this half-term ‘What is mutual respect and how do you show it?’
